2023
Last major logistics order and subsequent conversion
The end of 2022 was turbulent: The mail-order company terminated its collaboration with all partners and awarded the contract to a large corporation. This was due to increased costs as a result of the global economic situation and a general decline in consumer spending.
However, a stable outlook emerged early for the company, as a new contract was secured for 2023. Over a period of six months, the company was responsible for approximately 180 used clothing containers throughout Lower Franconia. Tasks included emptying, maintaining, and repositioning the containers. The emptied bags of textiles were loaded into swap bodies and transported further. Two large vans and two full-time employees were used for this contract.
In parallel, however, order volumes in online retail increased significantly. Recurring customers and larger order volumes developed increasingly. After careful consideration of effort and return, it was decided to re-evaluate the business areas. Declining margins in the logistics sector, high personnel costs, and increasing operational requirements made this area increasingly unattractive.
Therefore, the company has since focused exclusively on online retail – to this day.
