"Black Pont": What is it, exactly?

The name 'Black Pont' is a combination of 'Black Sea', and 'Pont', which refers to the Pontic Mountains, also located in the Black Sea region.



Historically, this region was an important hub for trade and exchange for many centuries.

Its location between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East led to intensive economic and cultural exchange along the coastal cities around the Black Sea.


Precisely this idea forms one of the principles of Black Pont: that people become stronger through exchange and cooperation.

2021

Company formation

In 2021, Yücel Transport & Logistik UG (haftungsbeschränkt) was founded by Numan Yücel. The first successfully acquired order was the transport of a pallet with agricultural machinery from Nuremberg to France. This was followed by the first regular orders, including the transport of COVID-19 samples from collection points to laboratories, as well as blood samples from doctors' offices to medical laboratories.
2022

Growth

As early as late 2021, an opportunity arose to deliver parcels to premium customers for a large mail-order retailer within Nuremberg. These were predominantly same-day shipments that had to be delivered on the same evening. To manage this task, up to six vehicles were used simultaneously at times. This allowed both medical logistics and classic end-customer deliveries to be handled successfully in parallel. Thanks to structured organization and good management, this dual burden posed no problem. At the same time, another business area developed: the establishment of our own online retail operation. The first product was branded socks. In the course of the year, this area developed so successfully that the products were positioned simultaneously on eBay, Kaufland, Amazon, and OTTO.
2023

Last major logistics order and subsequent conversion

The end of 2022 was turbulent: The mail-order company terminated its collaboration with all partners and awarded the contract to a large corporation. This was due to increased costs as a result of the global economic situation and a general decline in consumer spending. However, a stable outlook emerged early for the company, as a new contract was secured for 2023. Over a period of six months, the company was responsible for approximately 180 used clothing containers throughout Lower Franconia. Tasks included emptying, maintaining, and repositioning the containers. The emptied bags of textiles were loaded into swap bodies and transported further. Two large vans and two full-time employees were used for this contract. In parallel, however, order volumes in online retail increased significantly. Recurring customers and larger order volumes developed increasingly. After careful consideration of effort and return, it was decided to re-evaluate the business areas. Declining margins in the logistics sector, high personnel costs, and increasing operational requirements made this area increasingly unattractive. Therefore, the company has since focused exclusively on online retail – to this day.
2024

16,073.93 km

The greatest distance a customer order from our company has traveled to date is 16,073.93 km. Over the years, shipments have naturally also been made to Austria or Spain, as well as individual products to the USA, such as stickers to Texas. A special highlight, however, was the shipment of UltraPro Sleeves for trading cards to Tahiti. This shipment covered the aforementioned distance of 16,073.93 km and was successfully delivered within 12 days.
2025

Slowly but surely

In early 2025, the accounts with OTTO, Amazon, and Kaufland were closed. Since then, the company has focused exclusively on eBay – with very positive success. As a small company with limited resources, this focus represented a sensible step toward simplifying processes. A rented property was also sold. Despite meeting the requirements for one to two years, the UG was not converted into a GmbH. The liquid capital gained from this was further specifically invested in expanding the product range and developing new products.
2026

Black Pont

Yücel Transport & Logistik has been renamed to Black Pont – a change that was arguably overdue. The company had already achieved top-seller status on eBay for a considerable time, making this step increasingly apparent. The development of its own online shop and the associated potential to offer products at lower prices without intermediaries were decisive factors. Additionally, the continuously growing base of regular customers played an important role in this strategic further development. The journey continues..
